“I’m already balling like a baby.”, read the text from Angel’s mom. She’d just viewed Angel’s gallery of senior photos, and getting follow up texts like this makes my day!
Angel’s mom had reached out to me to plan for a fall senior photo session. Beautiful nature and fall colors was the plan for the backgrounds. After some planning and last minute shopping trips, Angel and her mom found the perfect fall looks. We met up on a gorgeous fall evening and spent some time together creating a gallery of pretty senior photos to capture Angel’s senior year.

Where were you born? Ann Arbor
What is your favorite color? Turquoise
What is your favorite food? Salmon/ any type of fish
What food don’t you like? Coleslaw
What do you enjoy doing most? Drawing
What’s your favorite school subject? History/Art
What’s your least favorite subject? Math
Who are your best friends? My 3 closest friends are Jessica, Emmitt, and John and they’ve been with me for a long time.
What tv shows do you like? I enjoy watching cartoons for the most part and I don’t really have a favorite. The show not on tv that I like though, is My Hero Academia.
What is your favorite book? A Dog’s Purpose or The Catcher in the Rye.
What are your hobbies and interests? I like to draw, bike, and play video games in my free time.
What sport do you like? I personally like to watch the track events because I can understand them better, and I do play in track on the field events. My favorite event to play and watch is Discus.
What is your favorite thing to do with your family? Have a campfire.
Where have you traveled? What places have been your favorites? We’ve went to Florida, North Carolina, Canada, and Charlevoix. Charlevoix has been my favorite because it’s really pretty and I have a lot of good memories there.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go, and why? I would go to somewhere in Northern Europe like Norway because it is pretty and there’s a lot we can learn from the people there.
If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you move and why? Finland because if I ever decided to have/adopt children I would give them a good education. Also it would be in a place of interesting culture and language.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? I would want to be more confident.
What was the best thing anyone ever gave you? My parents gave me my car.
When are you the happiest? When I have time to do everything I need to do in a day.
What’s your favorite holiday of the year? Halloween because I enjoy fall, the colors, and the overall spookiness of it.
Do you like to shop? What are your favorite stores? I don’t usually go out and shop often but when I do it’s usually for art supplies so my favorite store is probably either Michael’s or Blick.
What is your biggest pet peeve and why? I don’t like when people make something big out of something little.
How have you changed since your freshman year? I became more smart and more sure of what I’m doing.
When you look back on school in later years, what will you remember most? The amazing teachers who made my years better.
Do you have college plans? What is your dream college? I am going to WCC for 2 years then transferring hopefully to my dream college of College of Creative Studies in Detroit, however, if that doesn’t go to plan then I have many other options I’d be more than happy with.
What do you plan on doing for your profession in the future? Becoming a freelance artist, and hopefully a future business owner of a cafe type place.
Where do you imagine yourself 10 years from now? I will hopefully be starting or have started my animated show called Dog Days.
What’s your idea of the perfect day? A day full of drawing, and talking with friends.
What is your greatest fear and have you ever tried to face it? Heights and I haven’t worked on it much.
Do you have any bad habits that you simply refuse to change? When I get an impulse to do something, I usually do it even if it’s something weird.
What is one outrageous thing you desperately want to try before you die? Skydive.
What are the five things you value the most at this point in your life? 1. My friends/family 2. Drawing 3. My home 4. Having a job 5. Being able to go to school.
If you had an extra $100 to spend, what would you buy? More art supplies or keep it to save for a new computer.
What would be the first thing you would do if you ruled the world? Change the way the world is revolved around money.
Who is your hero and why? My Grandpa because he made me who I am today and I wouldn’t have a clue what I’m doing without him.
What dreams do you have for the world of tomorrow? To hopefully help make it a better place through the medium of artistic expression.

I am unique because of my… Ability to create worlds within my mind and map it out quicker than most people.
