I was so excited to hear from this family again after photographing their new baby boy in 2019! They were expecting a baby girl this time and to scheduler her newborn photo session. We styled her session with creams and soft pinks, with lots of pearls and lace. And by special request we dressed her as a newborn unicorn! So cute!
Chloe’s Story…
Sharing the news of Chloe’s arrival: Nothing special this time around. I think we told our families over FaceTime thanks to COVID. :)
Pregnancy moments: Our oldest really wanted a baby sister. We received the gender news via phone call while in the car. I had wanted to surprise him later and take a video but the phone was connected to the car’s audio and so he heard the news along with us. I may not have a video but I will never forget his smile and excitement when he heard he was going to have a baby sister.
Pregnancy cravings: Korean food, Jimmy Johns, salty foods
Naming Chloe: We long had the name Chloe picked for if/when we had a baby girl. We picked Caroline partly because I’m from North Carolina but also just because we like it. Minhee is a Korean name, which John’s dad helped pick for us. All of our littles have a Korean middle name.
First moment meeting Chloe: Pure joy! She arrived quickly in an unmedicated labor with 1.5 pushes. Her cries were the sweetest sound.
First thing we noticed about Chloe: A relatively full head of dark hair (our boys have lighter hair and were nearly bald as infants).
Favorite features: She has long, dainty hands and feet and the sweetest cry when she is just beginning to make a fuss.
Favorite moments: Holding her for naps and in the middle of the night. Despite the sleep deprivation, I’ve learned from my boys how much this time will be missed and how quickly they grow. I also will always treasure the memories of our boys holding their little sister and giving her kisses.
Adorable things she does: Again, she makes the sweetest sound when starting to get hungry or needing attention of any kind. She has been a very sleepy baby due to jaundice and so we are just beginning to see more of her personality. Loving every day!
