I first met this family on a warm December evening while we shot their maternity photo session, and it such fun. We captured the most beautiful winter maternity photos while awaiting Estella.
It wasn’t too long before Estella made an unexpected early arrival, so we planned her newborn photo session not too long after that!
Her momma loved bright colors, so we used a palette of pinks and turquoise. So bold, colorful, and fun. Estella woke up during her session, so we captured a couple adorable awake images too.
Estella’s Story…
Sharing the news: I told my husband in his Father’s Day card :)
Eventful pregnancy moments: She came five weeks early and couldn’t wait to meet us.
Pregnancy cravings: Mostly nausea. The few times I craved something it was potatoes or pickled something.
Naming Estella: I went through the book of 100,000 names and we only agreed on one for the first name. Her middle name we both agreed on for many reasons and it is my sister’s name.
The first moment we met her: She was able to stay on my chest skin to skin and that was the best.
First thing we noticed: I first noticed her hair and that she was crying. I was looking forward to hearing her.
Favorite features: She is adorable and I love all of her tiny features. I never want to forget any of them.
Favorite moments: I love breast-feeding her and baby cuddles.
Memory of her arrival that we’ll hold close: Her crying, saying she’s here. The moment my husband cut the cord.
Personality traits: She smiles and already has a little laugh. She is very strong for being a preemie and that warms my heart.
