I love this rustic autumn themed newborn photography session! This guy was such a little peanut!
We outfitted Jason’s newborn photo session with a rustic autumn theme using various shades of brown, orange, and yellow. I brought out my tiny stuffed pumpkin for him to hold and collected a bunch of brilliant yellow fall leaves from my outdoor newborn garden to add some natural elements.
It couldn’t have been more perfect…so boyish, rustic, outdoorsy, and perfectly showcasing the color palette of fall.

Jason’s Story…
On sharing the news of Jason’s arrival: “Our announcement was a modified “Hellraiser” movie poster called “Little Hellraiser.”
Pregnancy Cravings: “Sadly, I had gestational diabetes…so I had cravings for sugary foods.”
Jason’s arrival: “Jason was supposed to be due on October 8, then October 1, making him an October baby for a Halloween loving family. He ended up being born on September 26, and now shares a birthday with his great-grandma, which she says was the best birthday present she could ever have asked for.”
On naming Jason: “His father is always called Jason. And his uncle’s name is Erik.”
The moment we first met Jason: “After he was born, and they handed him to his mom, he was so alert and content, laying on her and looking around for what seemed like forever.”
First thing we noticed: “His hair and his feet.”
Favorite features: “The hair and feet, the expressions he makes when happy/content.”
Favorite moments (as told by daddy): “My favorite are the little moments we share together when he is calm and alert.”
Things he does: “He tries to grab things with his toes.”
