I loved planning this winter maternity session! We had a great chat prior to scheduling, and even though this expectant momma wasn’t overly keen on the idea of winter backgrounds, I told her how much I happen to LOVE the background looks of winter landscape! The background turns to a warm golden blur allowing the subject to pop. And just look at how she glowed in her beautiful red maternity gown in these gorgeous winter fields!
How did you learn you were pregnant? Planned testing.
How did you share the news of your pregnancy with your spouse?
In his Father’s Day card :)
How did you share your pregnancy news with friends and family?
We took pictures in addition to a few in person announcements.
How did you feel seeing your baby’s first ultrasound photo and baby’s heartbeat?
Over joyed and tearful with happiness.
Are you having a boy or girl?
A girl! We took a blood test to find out.
Pregnancy cravings: I’m usually nauseous, but potatoes, cornbread, and pickles usually go well.
Pregnancy aversions: Almost everything makes me nauseous but mushrooms are the worst. I can’t even look at pictures of mushrooms.
What was your first purchase for the baby?
Clothes.
Does baby have a nursery theme?
The nursery is pink with silvery/gold furniture that has bow decorations around the handles. The art on the walls will be princess and rose/floral focused. I’m also looking for a rose themed area rug. Pinks with light/dark green accents.
What moments would you like to remember?
The maternity photos! :) Baby movements and heart beats <3
What pregnancy things have been hard?
Moving, staying awake, and nausea. Oh and forgetfulness.
Any funny pregnancy stories to share?
My son said “Mama House” because we were talking about how much bigger I’m getting. He’s not a big talker and it was very cute.
