This chunky little nugget was born a couple days after his due date. His outdoor newborn session was planned for his 8th day, a scorching July afternoon. Hot and humid conditions are the best weather for an outdoor newborn session, and while he was perfectly content, the rest of us were dying. It was so worth it though.
I posed him in my shady woodland forest; it was so vibrant and green! We got lots of cute outdoor looks…on my fallen log, shady fern and hosta garden, a little wooden bed, and in a little red wagon. We captured the most adorable gallery of outdoor newborn photos!

Reed’s Story…
Sharing the news of Reed’s arrival: We told the grandparents the first week in December. We purchased Christmas tree ornaments that said, “Grandma & Grandpa Est. 2020” for Grandma & Grandpa S and “World’s Greatest Grandpa” for Grandpa G.
Eventful Pregnancy Moments: During our 20 week ultrasound appointment the tech was trying to get a picture of Reed’s Face for us, but he was turned the wrong way. The tech began to poke at him through my belly and the little stinker raised his hand and gave us a middle finger.
Naming Reed: Reed’s middle name, Callan, is a play on his Great Grandmother’s maiden name. What was the first thing that you noticed about your baby? We noticed that he had very chubby checks. Describe your favorite features of your baby, the ones you’ll never want to forget.
Favorite features: That would most definitely be his chubby cheeks!
Adorable things he does: All during my pregnancy Reed was a big kicker. He kicked a lot and kicked me very hard. Now that he has joined us on the outside, nothing has changed! He still loves to kick a lot and kicks extremely hard too.
