William’s Story…
Sharing the news: When I told Dad, we hugged and he wiped tears from his eyes, saying he was so happy. Big brother came running to join the hug and declared Daddy was so happy we bought him coffee.
Big brother announced to our family minutes before I got home from work that his mommy had a baby in her tummy.
Pregnancy moments: Dad and I enjoyed a trip to Germany and Austria at the end of my first trimester. It was a wonderful time to indulge in all the fresh bread and cheese!
Pregnancy cravings and aversions: I hated vegetables and salmon; my main cravings were bread, cheese and meat. The stuffed pretzel buns from Dexter Bakery were a regular treat!
Naming William: William was named for his great grandfather, William Louis Krueger. We have since discovered that William was quite the family name in that branch of our family tree! I chose his first middle name, Isaac, to share Mom’s middle initial (“I”). Both of our boys have Mom’s last name as a second middle name.
Meeting William: The midwife delivered William and put him on me. I remember having tears of joy as I held this beautiful boy for the first time.
First thing we noticed: William was so long and had a full head of hair!
Favorite features: William has reddish eyelashes, little snorting breathes, tiny fingers and toes, and a sweet smile.
Favorite moments: I love every moment William snuggles up and falls asleep in my arms, and the happy baby smiles he makes in his sleep. I love brushing his hair and watching him relax. 😌
Adorable things he does: William gets excited and waves his arms and legs when we tell him what his big brother is doing!
