Zara arrived on Thanksgiving day, so it was only fitting that we went with a Thanksgiving color scheme for her newborn photos! We used a palette of burgundy, mustards, and browns, and added in little pumpkins and touches of fall. And since she arrived so close to Christmas, we also did one cute set with candy canes for the holidays. She couldn’t be any cuter!
Zara’s Story…
Sharing news of Zara’s arrival: We surprised my parents with University of Michigan grandma and grandpa T-shirts and videotaped their reactions.
Pregnancy moments: When we saw our baby on the ultrasound for the first time. My OB is also a good friend who got us in to hear the heartbeat at 8 weeks.
Pregnancy cravings: Olga’s Kitchen
Naming Zara: Zara: princess, Exalted, Eastern Splendour. Khushi: happiness.
First meeting her: I remember hearing her cry during the C-section.
The moment she was born: She stared so intently at me.
Favorite features: Her eyes and chubby cheeks.
Favorite moments: The mornings where she will fall asleep in my arms and gives a little smile.
Cute things she does: She gets very hangry.
