I enjoyed working with Annalise’s mom and dad to create the perfect newborn session for her; they were the sweetest family! Her momma even made my day by sending me the kindest thank you note in the mail! Annalise, such a doll baby; I love the newborn portraits we captured of her!

Sharing the news of Annalise’s arrival: “We announced we were expecting right around Christmas time to our close family. Traditionally every year before Christmas we meet over my moms to draw names for who our secret santa person will be. We wrote “Baby Anna” on all the names in the box and had everybody pick a name without looking. At once we had everyone look at the name they selected and everyone’s heart was filled with joy after they caught on ;)”
Eventful pregnancy moments: “I was able to experience a dolphin encounter while I was pregnant with her during our baby moon. It was one experience I will never forget.”
Pregnancy cravings: “I craved broccoli, pickles, and quesadillas very often.”
Naming Annalise: “Annalise: Full of grace; devoted to God.”
Meeting Annalise: “It felt like time had stopped for once in my life. Nothing else mattered and I was in awe. I finally was able to meet my daughter who I had fallen in love with over those past nine months. Annalise looked at me as they handed her to me and my heart was so full and overflowing. It was the most beautiful moment in my life. Right before I was pushing I had experienced the most pain I had ever felt in my entire life and oh how for Annalise it was worth it.”
First thing we noticed about Annalise: “I realized that she looked exactly like her father. She is literally his identical twin and seeing them two together melts my heart.”
Favorite features: “I am in love with her chubby cheeks and her big beautiful deep eyes.”
Favorite moments: “The skin to skin moments that we both did with her in the hospital were very precious moments. Annalise’s first bath at the hospital we recorded and we are first time parents so we were shocked she cried the whole way through.”
Things she does: “Right after birth Annalise has been so alert. As a newborn she was looking at people deep in their eyes. She would cut her eyes at the nurses and remain very alert. She was even holding her head up.”
