I met up with this wonderful couple on a warm summer evening to capture their pregnancy photos. This momma’s summery dress was so beautiful in the grassy fields filled with lacy white wildflowers. We captured a full gallery of dreamy maternity photos that they will surely cherish.
Due date: September 23rd,2020 but had Everly on September 8th, 2020 :)
Finding out about the pregnancy: I was feeling nauseous, missed period, took a test and found out!
Sharing the pregnancy news with your spouse: We were trying for a while. I purchased a beer bottle opener that said “surprise you are going to be a daddy”. I handed my husband a beer and the bottle opener!
Sharing the news with family: We told our parents with coffee cups for my parents and drink cups for B’s parents.
Hearing baby’s heartbeat: I cried, I felt emotional. I felt excited, scared, shocked.
Nicknames for baby: Yes! Lots, in the womb we called her squishy. We have lots of nicknames now that she is here (bubbles, honey, Evie, nugget, monkey, squicky, peanut).
Boy, girl, surprise?: Girl :)
Gender reveal: We did a gender reveal party. B shot an arrow at a target.
Baby’s name: Everly Lucienne. Everly is an actors daughters name. B and I both loved it. Lucienne is my grandma’s name.
Pregnancy cravings: Anything sweet!
Pregnancy aversions: Mexican food in first trimester.
First purchase: A shirt for the baby announcement.
Nursery theme: Butterflies!
Pregnancy moments to remember: When I told my husband and family, maternity photo session, the feeling of my baby moving around in my tummy, her little kicks, seeing her on the ultrasound. Wondering what she was going to look like and be like.
Hard pregnancy moments: nauseous, heartburn
Eventful moments: I went to get in shower due to having contractions, thinking I was going to have to go to hospital. My water broke all over the bathroom floor.
