Over 125+ babies were entered into my newborn session giveaway, and Kash was one of the two lucky babies who won an entirely free newborn session with me! Kash was the first baby to make his arrival. He was due on Christmas Eve, and born on New Year’s Eve…what a fun birthday; there’ll always be a celebration!
His momma and grandma arrived for his newborn session on a bitterly cold January day, just 4 days after he was born. My newborn studio is always warm and cozy though, so as the fuzzy snow swirled through the gray winter sky, Kash snuggled right in and slept like a dream. He was full of cute and quirky little faces, with an extra chunky physique.
His mom was super thankful and excited to have won the newborn photography session with me, but I definitely consider myself lucky too! He was a perfect little subject, and so easy to work with. Win-Win.

Cravings: “Oddly I had ZERO CRAVINGS !!! Major heartburn but no cravings.”
Events during pregnancy: “We purchased a new home when I was five months pregnant.”
On Kash’s name: “His middle name is named after his late great grandpa, James.”
Describe the moment that you first met your baby: “Simple : Love at first sight. I couldn’t believe he was mine. For the first five minutes I held him it was if time had stopped. I was in aww.. I created this perfect tiny human. I couldn’t take my eyes off of him.”
First thing I noticed: “ALL THAT HAIR !!!”
Favorite features: “I never want to forget all of the faces he makes. & The way he hates to open his eyes. Or all the grunt noises he makes. I love his long skinny feet & toes & his button nose. I love how squishy he is 😄.”
Favorite moments: “My favorite moments with him are during the night when it’s just him and I. When he’s wide awake staring at me or eating.”
