Kayla knew exactly what she was envisioning for her senior pictures! She was dreaming of a colorful fall senior photo session with a country feel: fields, woods, water, all the things. One of my favorite locations fit her vision almost exactly, so it was an easy choice! She already had the majority of her outfits chosen, so things couldn’t have went more smoothly during planning.
We met on a breezy October evening, with the sun glowing as it fell into the horizon. We had so much fun during her session and captured a gorgeous gallery of images!

Where were you born? Livonia, MI
Describe your family. My family is funny, lovable, supportive and understanding.
What is your favorite color? Maroon
What is your favorite food? sushi
What food don’t you like? spicy food
What do you enjoy doing most? I enjoy going on adventures
What’s your favorite school subject? Math
What’s your least favorite subject? Humanities
Who are your best friends? Rylee and Kaylen
If you watch television, what show do you like? Greys Anatomy
What is your favorite book? It’s not supposed to be this way
What are your hobbies and interests? Painting, going to church, driving and journaling
What sport do you like? I love watching hockey and cheer. I used to do cheer but sadly had to stop.
What is your favorite thing to do with your family? Vacations
Where have you traveled? What places have been your favorites? I have traveled to New York, Chicago, California, All around Michigan. My favorite had to be Lake Tahoe or Pictured Rocks
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go, and why? Bora Bora is my dream vacation. It’s seems so beautiful and peaceful.
If you could move anywhere in the world, where would you move and why? Colorado, I love the mountains and I love all the seasons.
If you were going to live alone on an island and could only take one thing with you, what would you take? My kitty Frank.
What do you collect and how long have you been collecting? I collect mushed pennies. I have been collecting them since I was super little.
What is the hardest thing you ever had to do? Stand up for myself.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? My overthinking.
What was the best thing anyone ever gave you? A little box of 3 little angels.
When are you the happiest? Up north
What’s your favorite holiday of the year? Thanksgiving, I love all of the food and seeing my family.
Do you like to shop? What are your favorite stores? Yes and no. Garage, H&M and Shein
What is your biggest pet peeve and why? When people interrupt me many times in one sitting. I feel you should let someone finish what they are saying, or if you feel the need to say it ask.
How have you changed since your freshman year? I have become braver, stronger and happier.
When you look back on this school in later years, what will you remember most? I will remember going to school with no masks and being able to enjoy the time I had.
Do you have college plans? What is your dream college? Yes. I don’t have a dream college.
What do you plan on doing for your profession in the future? I plan to be an aesthetician.
Where do you imagine yourself 10 years from now? In 10 years I picture myself traveling the world and having a happy family.

What’s your idea of the perfect day? it’s a sunny summer day at the beach, listening to country music then go home and get ready for dinner. Finally watch a movie with some pop corn.
Describe the scariest encounter you ever had. Getting in a car accident
Describe your most embarrassing moment. Setting the fire alarm off at Kalahari
Do you have any bad habits that you simply refuse to change? I don’t know if this could be a “habit” but I change my room around a lot. like a lot. I don’t really know why.
What is one quote that you live by? “One positive thought in the morning could change your whole day.”
Describe a dramatic/serious experience that has altered your life completely. Going back to school in person.
What is one outrageous thing you desperately want to try before you die? Take a long adventure with no destination
What are the five things you value the most at this point in your life? My cat, my family, my car, my friends and my baby blanket.
Do you have a childhood toy that you refuse to give up? It’s a stuff animal. I got it from my aunt who lives in California.
If you were stranded on a desert island, what five things would you need to survive and why? my baby blanket, my phone, someone who knows about the outdoors, water bottle and my mom or dad.
If you had an extra $100 to spend, what would you buy? Either save it or buy my shopping cart on Shein.
What is your favorite website? Pinterest, I love looking at all the cool ideas.
What would be the first thing you would do if you ruled the world? Save all of the animals.
Who is your hero and why? My parents, they have taught me how to be strong.
What dreams do you have for the world of tomorrow? That the world will be filled with more kindness and less germs.
