Yusuf’s Story…
Sharing the news of Yusuf: “Couldn’t contain my happiness when I got a positive test! Just went running to my husband with the test! 😊 For our family we got personalized dessert boxes made addressing each family member on behalf of the little one! We also had these onsies delivered to all family members with the name on the package “baby S”. They were confused at first but were soon excited to hear the news.”
Pregnancy story: “A special thing about this baby/pregnancy is that we were really wanting a kid for quiet sometime and last year in 2020 on our fall trip to Up North I made a prayer while I was in the woods with all the fall trees around us on October 2nd to have a fall baby and wondered what a weird prayer that is and how would it come true but by God’s grace we were blessed with Yusuf exactly a year later on October 2nd 2021. God is in fact the best if planner and there is no request to weird or small for him to fulfill! Also I always felt there was something special about October 2nd since I was a kid but did not know what, but now we do as we got our most important prayer answered that day!”
Pregnancy cravings: “Hardly any! But I did enjoy eating a South Indian dish called Idli Sambar more than usual! My husband is grateful I didn’t have any weird cravings.”
Naming Yusuf: “Our baby’s name is the name of an Islamic prophet who was known for his modesty, ability to forgive, patience, honesty and more! We hope our baby embodies all these characteristics!”
The moment we met Yusuf: “Unreal! Couldn’t believe that he is actually ours and we are his parents! He was really delicate and my husband was very scared.”
First thing we noticed: “His tiny little nose and cute little chin ❤️ His hair. He had beautiful hair when he was born.”
Favorite features: “Everything about him! From his tiny feet to his little fingers! Especially his chin!”
Favorite moments: “The way he cozies up on our shoulder completely trusting us to be there for him and calming down! He makes this pout face when observing the world around him in curiosity.”
Adorable things he does: “The way he wakes up with all the stretching and faces he makes, how excited he gets for his feeds, the way he keeps saying “Inga” when he is hungry, the list goes on! He smiles when he is asleep when you touch his cheek. We think he’s thinking about food.”
